Arriving in Docking Bay 94 at Absalom Station on the shuttle Okimoro
We see a dwarf (our contact Duravor Kreel) waiting for us.
Also seen setting up positions are two different gangs of shady people. Gunfight starts. The two gangs are:
The two groups are attacking each other; we are caught in the middle.
Duravor Kreel is killed.
Aftermath
Duravor has a data pad that has our names and another contact: Chiskisk
The security personnel arrive and, finding we are new to the station and prospective Starfinders, decide we are innocents and directed to the Lorespire Complex to in order connect with the Starfinder society.

We found out Chiskisk is high level Starfinder officer, they meet us in their office.
As potential new Starfinders we are asked to investigate:
- Was Duravor murdered or just collateral damage in a gang-war
- Why were those gangs fighting?
- Were Duravor or the Party the actual targets or unfortunate bystanders?

We got set up at Hotel Moons of Sleep.

We dip our toes in the seedy side of Absalom Station
There is a neutral area to both gangs (because it is run by a different gang) called The Rig House. This is a commercial area that would fit in in the better part of bad part of any town. The gangs keep it safe because of all of the “legal” money it brings in, but are assuredly taking a protection cut from each of the vendors.
The crew, deciding that both gangs had ties to prostitution, went to a brothel (the Jack-It-Off) in this neutral territory.

While at the brothel we made some noise about wanting to contact the Level 21 Crew and got a message to meet their leader Jabaxa at Momma Fats on level 21.
Meeting with Level 21 Crew at Momma Fats
We brought a high-quality moon-shine (because we heard that it was their drink of choice).
Met with Jabaxa (their leader) and several gang members.
Since we came in peace and friendship (with a gift) they reflected out attitude and it was a pleasant meeting.
We are now friends with the Level 21 Crew.

Things We Still Don't Know For Sure
Because Duravor has a valid beef with Astral Extractions (cousin) and owned a small stake in Hardscrabble Collective it is possible he was a target of Downside Kings and not an innocent bystander.
What Downside Kings were doing in the docking bay.

The Fusion Queen
At a loss on how to get more information from the Downside Kings we go to their nightclub. We go in hoping for a conversation but expecting and ambush.
The gang has us check our weapons at the door. Amech also checks a (pretending to be shutdown) Kitre-3.
We see the guy who was arrested in Docking Bay 94 drunkenly dancing. After Nill Mosaeall tried to talk to him but was getting drunken gibberish CIOS Voidstar attempts to use magic to determine what was making him so unaware and confused - this starts a brawl. Kitre-3 was able to return our checked weapons. By the time the brawl was finished we had worked our way into the back office and confronted and killed Ferani Nadaz (the Downside Kings Leader) and a powerful Unnamed Vesk Lieutenant.
Where do go from here?
- Interrogate the only living Downside Kings drunk-guy.
- Search the office.
- Hack the Datapad

We got what we needed from the a Datapad recovered from Ferani Nadaz at the Fusion Queen nightclub and made our way into back to home base. We reported back to Chiskisk what we learned.

We were told by Chiskisk to not pursue Astral Extractions extractions ourselves. We were made full Starfinder members and given a pin. We were told that they have no mission for us presently.
A Summons from the Ambassador of Eox
After a day or so we got a suspicious invitation from His Excellency Gevalarsk Nor who little research told us was the head diplomat for the Eox a pact world mostly peopled by undead. We arrived at his lavish black marble mausoleum of an embassy office.
Eos, being neither associated with Hardscrabble Collective or Astral Extractions is acting as a mediator of their contract dispute. We find out that they are not entirely disinterested: The Acreon was carrying a package for the embassy that is not caught up in customs. The ambassador is most desirous to recover it.

Astronomical Marketing
Ms. Joss from Astral Extractions invites us to the headquarters to give us a slick marketing pitch. During the pitch she emphasizes all good Astral Extractions is doing and how lucrative working with them could be. She also pitches the subtle bribe that if things go their way in the mediations there could be opportunities with Astral Extractions.
